“Donations of furniture to The Tendring Furniture Scheme help families in need AND the environment”

Do you have good quality furniture that you would be willing to pass on to us?

We collect most household items, especially 3-piece suites, beds, chests of drawers, wardrobes, tables and chairs etc.

Unfortunately there are some items that we cannot pass on, in particular beds and soft furnishings which do not comply with the 1988 Fire Safety Regulations, non-fireproof soft furnishings, gas and electrical appliances, items which are stained or damaged, and very large wardrobes, sideboards and wall units.

Additionally, because of our limited storage space, we may have to reluctantly delay the collection of some items when they are offered to us.  Similarly, because of our busy schedule, we may not be able to respond as quickly as we would like to some offers of items for reuse. 

However, all offers of donations are very gratefully acknowledged and 99% of them will usually be collected within 2 weeks of the initial contact.
